This essay is about cigarette butts, their effect on the environment, society, and the aesthetics of them.
All butts were shot in Idaho, most of the them on the Boise National Forest: Bonneville Campground&Hot Springs and Trail Creek Hot Springs. The lone butt not on the Boise National Forest was at Leslie Gulch in the Owyhees. The butts were not hard to find.

Cigarette smokers have the right to smoke. They do not have the right to just toss their butts when and wherever.
Cigarette butts in the environment is a litter issue-not a smoking issue.
